Welcome to the Kanata Naturopathic Clinic
Dr. Ann Lawrence BSc., ND
Dr. Ann Lawrence ND, Naturopathic Doctor, would like to welcome you to our natural family practice located in Bridlewood Kanata. We are proud to say that we have been serving the Ottawa area for more than 20 years now! Our clients come from all over the Ottawa Valley are and beyond including Almonte, Arnprior, Carleton Place, Carp, Cornwall, Kingston, Pembroke, Petawawa, Perth, Smiths Falls and Renfrew. We look forward to helping you on your journey to health!

Ann graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto in 1999. Before that she obtained a BSC in Marine Biology from the University of Guelph and was also working on a MSc in Crop Science there as well when she heard about Naturopathic Medicine. The decision to leave Guelph was an easy one once she found out about Naturopathic Medicine, which at the time was certainly not as well known a field of medicine as it is now.
Ann loves to help people and is continually learning, researching and exploring new information on health and now potential modalities to help her clients to the best of her ability. NeurOptimal® Dynamical Neurofeedback brain training is one of the latest things that she is offering at the Kanata Naturopathic Clinic. Ann decided to incorporate NeurOptimal® into her practice as she has personally benefitted from it and wants to offer this safe and effective brain training to her clients.
Ann also is an avid traveler and somewhat of an adventurer and has lived in Japan for 2 years, worked in the Yukon running a highway lodge on the Klondike highway 2 hours south of Dawson City, worked as a tree planter in Northern Ontario, passed several levels of scuba certification and scuba dived in various hot locations and in Canada (i.e. cold locations). Her interests have also led her to take a Wim Hof course on using breathing and cold water for health reasons, wilderness survival courses with plant identification and tracking, and different forms of fasting and cleansing.
A few other areas of interest are organic vegetable gardening, kayaking, spending as much time in nature as possible, and cooking. Ann has taught many cooking classes and has led day long workshops on cleansing, healthy cooking and meditation.
Ann was born in Ottawa and came back here to this beautiful city to set up her practice and is so happy to be able support the people in the Ottawa valley on their health journey!
How Naturopathic Doctors Can Help You!
Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are primary healthcare providers and, as such, are able to help with almost any health concern. People of all ages with virtually all chronic and most acute conditions may benefit from treatment by a Naturopathic Doctor.
The methodology and approach of NDs is generally different from medical doctors and often can work well in conjunction with standard medical treatments. As well, NDs are trained to interpret and have access to blood and other lab tests to help steer, if necessary, your treatment protocols.
Our health is closely linked to diet, lifestyle, environment, emotional health (stress!), and social and spiritual fulfillment! At the Kanata Naturopathic Clinic our goal is to help you to understand the factors that affect you and may be preventing you from achieving that feeling of health and vitality that you have never had before or not since you were quite young! You have the capacity to change your state of health and we can develop plans and be a part of that journey with you!
